The easy,
clean and long-lasting system.

Indoor gardening
without soil
Since the 1960s

Healthier, stronger plants. Less work, more savings, and zero mess.

HIDROPONIC in action

Applied to indoor gardening since the 1960s, soilless plant cultivation actually dates back to the Hanging Gardens of Babylon.

It was also used during the Second World War to grow fresh vegetables in places ill-suited to sowing. In that case, plants were sustained by a nutrient solution that reached their roots through meshes, from which they directly absorbed water and mineral salts.

Replacing soil with a clean substrate that doesn't deteriorate over time brings enormous advantages to the cultivation of ornamental indoor plants. Likewise, delivering nutrients by dissolving minerals in the irrigation water optimises nutrition and makes plants grow healthier and stronger.

Today it's available as a fully standardised system, ready to be used by anyone thanks to its great simplicity and ease of operation. With the HIDROPONIC® system you get the best results with minimal care and maximum savings.

A system born in Babylon, refined for the modern home.
The system

How does HIDROPONIC work?

It makes plant care as easy as possible, eliminating the two most common mistakes: over-watering and over-feeding.

Once the planter is set up, just add water until the level indicator reaches the optimum mark. Then wait for the plant to consume the water until the indicator shows the minimum, and wait another 3 or 4 days before watering back to the optimum. Only in case of a prolonged absence (holidays) should you water up to the maximum, and NEVER above the marker.

The interval between waterings can vary between 15 and 30 days depending on the amount of light and heat the plants receive. Adding a single dose of HIDROVIT every 6 months is enough to keep your plants well fed.

Step01

Add water to optimum

Fill the planter until the level indicator reaches the optimum mark.

Step02

Wait for the minimum

Let the plant consume the water down to the minimum indicator.

Step03

Pause 3-4 days

Hold off before refilling. This rest is part of the cycle.

Step04

Repeat & feed

Top up to optimum. One dose of HIDROVIT every 6 months.

Why replace the soil?

Contrary to popular belief, plants don't live off soil but off the mineral substances dissolved in water and the CO₂ in the air; soil is only the anchoring medium and the support for nutrients.

In a natural environment (a forest, for example), soil continuously regenerates thanks to the proliferation of a complex microflora and microfauna. But in a pot, these miracles of nature cannot occur.

So what happens to the soil in a planter?

It quickly degrades.

Numbers

A high-return investment.

Streamlining maintenance and the extraordinary durability of the plants translate into annual savings that easily exceed 40% compared to traditional cultivation systems.

Fewer plant replacements. And when one is needed, it's done in minimal time with virtually no mess, since there's no soil to handle.
